Dr. Plonka is an amazing periodontist! I have been seeing her for several years, and I couldn't be happier with the care I've received. She is professional, thorough, kind, and takes the time to listen to my concerns and explain every step of my treatment. Full disclosure: Dr. Plonka is my sister. As a patient, I can speak to my experiences firsthand, while also knowing how seriously she takes her craft and the genuine care she has for her patients. She brings deep expertise, an easy and calming bedside manner, and a team that matches her standard at every turn. Scheduling is easy, appointments are easy to get, and they respect your time. Can't recommend this practice highly enough!

I have been a patient of this practice for many years. I chose them based on the extensive training and experience of the professionals involved, and based upon comments from some of my friends who are also patient of this practice. While this is a very technical area of dentistry, I have found the explanations that I have received from Dr. Plonka to be very understandable and complete, enabling me to make informed decisions as to my treatment. In summary, I have no hesitation in recommending Professional Periodontics to anyone who is seeking this area of dental treatment.

I have had to visit Professional Periodontics several times, both at the Grosse Pointe office and at the St. Clair Shores office. My teeth were unfortunately not in the greatest condition, but with Dr. Plonka and her team at Professional Periodontics have worked with me and I can honestly say my teeth and mouth are in the best condition that they have ever been. From making sure that you are not in pain and explaining every detail so that I could understand and have no worries. Dr. Plonka’s team work very well together to make sure the patient’s concerns are met before moving on. I certainly would recommend Dr. Plonka and her team to my family members and my friends without a doubt. A well organized office.

I have been a patient for over three years, originally due to a traumatic injury due to a fall. Dr. Plonka is a superb professional with credentials beyond compare. She partnered with my dentist and endodontist to ensure I was fully cared for. She is thorough in her care and always friendly. The staff supports the practice diligently. Although I have recovered from my original injury, I continue as a patient because of the excellent care I have received. I highly recommend Dr. Plonka for all periodontic care.

I have been to both the Grosse Pointe and Warren offices and have had great experiences at both. The doctors and staff are wonderful. I had an implant done by Dr. Meraw and was very nervous. He and his assistant, Erica made me feel very comfortable and made the whole experience so much better. I go for regular cleanings with Felicia and she is an absolute delight. I recommend this office to all of my friends and family. 100% Happy!

I had a bone graft and an implant done and couldn’t be more pleased. Dr. Plonka’s expertise and knowledge was evident and her staff were very professional and kind. I felt very comfortable throughout the procedures and Dr. Plonka kept me informed of the process. I would highly recommend her office!

Based on my experience, the word "Professional" does not reflect the care I received at Professional Periodontics during my gum graft procedure. I was referred to Dr. Polonka by my dentist. Looking back, my first concern should have been the very limited number of reviews. My second should have been Dr. Polonka's poor communication and lack of preparation regarding what patients should expect before, during, and after treatment. As the patient, I found myself having to ask most of the questions about what I could eat, what activities I could or could not do, and what to expect in terms of pain and recovery. I underwent a gum graft on March 30, and as of June I continue to experience complications that began within hours of the procedure, including constant ringing in my ear (tinnitus) and ongoing sinus and facial pain. I was not provided with a written informed consent form, and after obtaining my records, I did not find a signed consent form related to the procedure. When I first contacted the office about my symptoms, Dr. Polonka suggested that I might have a sinus infection. An ENT later ruled that out. After that explanation was no longer supported, she suggested TMJ might b
